2025 Life Memberships
We congratulate both Ian Cass and Adrian Nickolai for being awarded Life Membership of the Loxton A & H Society.
These two community minded hard working individuals constantly contribute not only to the show but to the community and deserve recognition.
Ian Cass has been involved with the Loxton Show for a good part of his life. After 3 years Ian has stood down as president for a much-needed break, however continues to stay very involved with the show.
Adrian Nickolai started Volunteering at the Loxton Show in 2013 after attending the show with his family for most of his childhood. Adrian helps setting up and dismantling things for the show as well as many other things.
Just one of the many jobs performed in 2024, Ian and Adrian cut down a big 51-year-old towable stage which was useless as it was, but by tipping it over then cutting off the wheels, then welding 200mm C section steel around the edge and made removable wheels so it can be towed. A coat of paint and oiled the old timber and it is now a wonderful stage for the show to use for years to come.
We appreciate what all Volunteers contribute to the Loxton Show as this event would not be able to continue without their hard work.
2025 President and Secretary
We would like to introduce our incoming President
Richie Darling and Secretary Lynn Hand for 2025.
Richie has lived in Loxton since 1985 and has exhibited pigeons at the Loxton Show since 1985.
Richie has been a steward then a convenor of the pigeons at the Loxton Show for many years. He joined the show committee 3 years ago and was Vice President in 2024 and has taken on the role of President this year.
Lynn has lived in Loxton all her life. She has been involved in many community groups including Loxton Christmas Lights, Loxton Chamber of Commerce, various committees on the Loxton Waikerie Council, Riverland Suicide Prevention Committee, Secretary of the Riverland Christmas Appeal and is currently Manager of Loxcare Inc. Lynn is excited to be stepping into the role as Secretary for the Loxton Show and looks forward to being apart of this years show.
